You have a large following, your membership community is thriving, and you’re excited to keep selling to more and more people, but how often should you really launch? You don’t want to launch too often, but you also want to continue to open your doors to new customers. There are a few factors to consider when timing your launch, including frequency, audience growth, and the actual calendar. Ask yourself…
When was the last time you opened the doors?
It’s important not to launch too frequently to avoid launch burnout – for both yourself and your audience. We recommend at least 12 weeks between launches, especially if you are launching the same offering. You also want to continue to create that sense of urgency because your audience knows that the doors are not always open.
How much has your audience grown?
Even if plenty of time has passed since your last launch, if you haven’t done anything to generate new leads, your audience may not be ready for another launch. Before you think about launching (or relaunching), you need to make sure that you have been nurturing your audience. Build a relationship and show the love! With new followers and a larger audience comes new members for your membership launch.
Are there any holidays or personal events to watch out for?
Take a look at the calendar and make sure you are not hosting your launch around any major holidays, otherwise, your audiences’ attention might be elsewhere. You also want to make sure you’re not just getting back from a vacation or having another personal event. Leave yourself plenty of time for launch prep as well.
Make sure you are taking each of these questions into consideration before deciding when to launch next. By looking at the frequency, growth of your audience, and any calendar events, you can better determine if your launch timing is right for both you and your audience.
