You want to stay connected with your audience, but you have no idea what to post. Does this sound familiar? Maybe your next project isn’t quite ready yet or you keep showing the same art piece over and over again. You would like to create some genuine content for your customers, but you just have no idea where to start. Here are three types of Instagram posts that you can try out to keep your audience interested and engaged.

Saveable Visuals

Forget about trying to get Instagram likes, focus on getting Instagram saves. The more saves you get on a particular post, the more people it will be shown to in the Instagram algorithm. To save a post, someone would need to click the little bookmark icon next to your post. This will then add your post to their “saved” posts on Instagram, so they can revisit it again and again. What is considered “saveable”? Try to share valuable, bite-sized pieces of your expertise that someone would want to remember. This could be something like a quick tutorial, graphics and charts created in Canva, or information about favorite art supplies or products.

Reels

Reels are the perfect tool to capture your personality and let your audience get to know you. Humor is a major plus here! Reels are short, entertaining videos that can include multiple video clips, filters, captions, interactive backgrounds, stickers and more. While it can be uncomfortable to make Instagram reels, you can record several drafts and edit it, so it’s less intimidating than going live on social media. It’s refreshing for your audience to connect with you through something fun like Instagram reels, so give it a try and be creative.

Client Testimonials

Before most purchases, the first thing we all do is read the reviews. We want the best, and so does your audience! That’s why sharing your client testimonials is a great way to promote yourself and your business in an authentic way. Dress up your client testimonials by creating a graphic in Canva and adding a photo of the client. This makes your post even more credible and eye-catching.

Consider using some of these post ideas in your social media strategy and take notice how your audience engages with them. Keep track of metrics and traffic from your social media posts so you know what works and what doesn’t. Then, when you’re ready for your next workshop or launch, your audience will be ready to buy.
