One of the biggest myths I come across in my business is that to have a successful launch, you must have a large following and a huge email list. This is simply not true! You can still have a successful launch with a small audience, it just requires a little bit of planning and strategy. You can’t simply put your product or membership out there and hope people will buy. Here are my best tips for having a great launch with a tiny list.
Start Nurturing Your Audience Early
With a small audience, it’s important to provide lots of value to them early in the process. At least 60-90 days before your doors are going to open, start talking about your membership, building the hype, and sharing strategic content to point them towards your product. The goal is to grow and nurture your audience and provide lots of value so that when the time comes, they are ready and waiting to buy from you.
Show Up
Put yourself out there! Show up in your Instagram stories, go live, and put your face on your audience’s social media feeds as much as you can. While it may feel uncomfortable at times, it’s really the best way to engage with your followers. The key is to be consistent with it – no matter the amount of engagement, followers, or likes you receive. Pick one social media platform to really focus on, and go all in!
Engage with Your Audience 1:1
One of the pros of having a small audience is that you can connect with them one-on-one. You are able to really get to know them and have productive conversations with each individual member of your audience – whether that’s in your DMs or hopping on a quick Zoom call to address any questions they may have about your membership. This ability to be open and available to each person is a big advantage to having a tiny list, and will easily convert leads.
It’s not about the number of followers or the number of people on your mailing list – what matters is how you strategically show up for your audience. You can have a small audience AND a successful launch. It just requires a little bit of early planning and lots of genuine connection, so that when your doors open, they’re ready and waiting!
