Launching a membership, workshop, or course into the world can be exhausting. There are lots of moving pieces, tech setup, and marketing that goes into a successful launch, and it’s easy to feel total burnout at the end of the day. Launches don’t have to be draining though. There are several steps you can take to make sure you have a stress-free, calm launch – no matter the outcome. Here are some of my favorite ways to prevent launch burnout.
Make a Timeline
The key to a smooth launch is making a timeline. You should be giving yourself plenty of time for content creation and implementation. Make sure you have all of the pieces of your launch ready to go well before your open cart date. This includes things like your course content, marketing emails, social media posts, and any other education and sales materials that you will need. It’s a good idea to give yourself 8-12 weeks to make an entire launch plan.
Clear Your Schedule
When you go into launch mode, it’s important to clear your schedule and make sure you don’t have too much on your plate at one time. You should be spending most of your time showing up on social media, answering emails about your launch, and taking care of any other launch tasks that may come up. That means the rest of your daily tasks should be made as easy as possible – order take-out, have a family member or friend walk your dog or watch your little one and take time to relax.
Celebrate Every Win
When your cart closes and all is said and done, it’s time to celebrate! Whether you hit your launch goals or not, it’s important to recognize all of the hard work you put into your launch and be proud of taking your business to new levels. You showed up, you pitched your membership, and you launched it, and that’s definitely a win in my book.
Launching a membership can be a daunting task, however, it should be exciting instead of draining. It’s an incredibly effective way to grow your audience and your business all in one effort, but it does require some planning in advance so you don’t burn yourself out. Make sure to consider yourself and your needs in your personal launch plan, so you can go into launch week feeling calm, peaceful, and excited.
